CNOOC KINGLAND EXW pipeline, steel grade X70, successfully apply to Bo south-west pipeline project
The self-developed pipeline of CNOOC KINGLAND, steel grade X70, successfully used in Bohai south-west natural gas. It’s also the first undersea pipeline of small O.D, big W/T, high steel grade at home. Bo south-west pipeline project solves the problems of shortage gas supply in Bo West while excess gas supply in Bo South, to maximize usage of gas resources.
In July 2008, China National Offshore Oil Co., Ltd. Tianjin Branch start the pipe network project . In early September 2008, CNOOC KINGLAND successfully produced the first pipeline . The same year, on December 12th , Bohai Sea Southwest Project team held a expert review sessions on companys production capacity. On January 9th , 2009, it formally started to produced the pipeline.
CNOOC KINGLAND carried out project management , established a clear framework and responsibility , made control plans in detail, overcame a series of sea-pipe manufacturing problems, faced the challenge against technical capabilities and equipment endure capacity. The project makes a great contribution to improve the people’s life quality in Tianjin. At the same time, ERW sea pipe with independent research and development production of X70 steel grade does good to the company of accumulating valuable experience.
